Funky Finds Spring Fling Review 2009

Funky Finds Booth #321

ChickenBilly's first art/indie/craft fair. It was fun to go through the process. It was great to challenge myself to get out there. It actually was made real easy with the wonderful staff of Funky Finds. Jessica and Joe make things better!!! I also had the encouragement of my good friends Tara to the T and Joey Seeman of Sindustry Designs in the house. It was hot as hell in more than one way. Good times had by all. See the funky bunch next year!!! Check the link below for my booth photos and merch pics

Free Press is Good Press

9 x 12 Newspaper Press

Apparently the fine folks over at the FWCAC really enjoyed my piece from the 9 x 12 show. They used it on the website, email blast and now in print. A friend of mine noticed the piece in last Friday's Fort Worth Star Telegram and saved it for me. THANKS TRISH! It is always fun to see how art take on a life of it's own when it leave your hands. Now hopefully the sucker sells and I can buy more beer! Click the photo to read Gaile Robinson's story and see the art close up albeit in b & w.

Production and the Wizard of OZ

Laying down the ink

As a kid I was always fascinated by the way things worked. I was forever tearing my toys apart to see how they worked. Well I never lost that spirit of how do and it eventually turned into how to. Now as an adult I am fascinated with how to's. I even started documenting some of my own how it was done images. I think it is fun to look back behind the curtain to appreciate the grunt work that is done. One sometimes only sees the finished product and not the journey to appreciate. Below are three production picture sets revealing how I created art.
